Vista (Non)Compatability?

Was surprised to hear a story in my family recently:  One family member bought a 'shiny new' Tosh with Vista pre-loaded.I set up some things on it - personally I did not like the interface at all, simple things like 'shut down' seem more long winded. I know my kids have been 'brain washed' into all the 'games' stuff (of no relevance to 99 per cent of actual users), however, we couldn't get the work email (School) to perform properly.  School say this is because Vista is incompatible with their Microsoft operating system - surely not in the modern world!

True 21st Century Intuitive Interface

I sas playing (and getting beaten out of sight) on my son's Wii recently, there was only so much mental/physical beating I could take, it reminded me of the Star Trek team doing their exercises in the 'virtual reality' room, quite unbelievable.  However, then my son logged onto the internet...

Firstly, the machine ran like it was Lindford Christie, way quicker than any other PC (any derivative) we have in the house, secondly, the interface was A M A Z I N G, intuitive, fast, detailed, like W O W.

For a long time the 'chip' manufacturers have been telling stories about how powerful the new processors are and what they will do to 'change the face' of the games industry, I would suggest the operating system vendors get behind the interface that the Wii offers ASAP, it would revolutionise computers and make them truly accesible to all.

But after seeing what the Wii can do, why did we need Vista?

Stay well, do not get ill...

Apologies for neglecting you all. I've had an interesting encounter with the NHS recently, absolute respect for the people that work within our country's hospitals, however, no respect for the lack of communication (left not knowing what right is doing).  I can only liken the experience to seeing the picture in a 'join the dots's' picture but having no ability to know where to start or where to go.  If I told the full story, you would think I was writing a farce!  Come on Mr Government, sort this mess out soon or at least let us have some opt out relief!
